Part 3 - Everyone Has Psychic Abilities
Introduction
Okay, so we’ve talked about how everyone has psychic abilities and we’ve learned about the specifics of clairsentience. However, if you are new here and have no clue as to what I am referring to feel free to read my three prior blog posts titled, “Everyone Has Psychic Abilities” and “Empath or Clairsentient?” and “Psychic Seeing Simplified” That will catch you up to speed. If you do not feel so inclined as to read those posts or have already done so, we’ll just carry on.
What is Clairaudience?
First let’s break down the word. From French origin this metaphysical term has two parts. Clair meaning ‘clear’ and audience meaning to hear / listen to or ‘listeners’. Clairaudience is one of the six psychic senses which I believe can be endowed to anyone in their own respective right. It is the psychic perception of spiritual hearing.
Going Back to the Basics
When trying to understand the 6 psychic senses it is helpful to remember that they are synonymous to your 5 physical senses with the exception, or should I say, addition of claircognizance. Which could be compared to your human instinctual perceptions. i.e. knowing something without knowing how or why. So when it comes to clairaudience, this psychic ability is akin to your perception of hearing sounds.
Not Just Physical, Meta Physical
Many people describe the psychic perception of clairaudience as being able to ‘physically hear’ the sounds of paranormal sources such as whispered voices, or words being spoken to them. However, hearing paranormal voices as if you were listening to another person talk or hearing metaphysical sounds with your ears, is not the only way clairaudience can be perceived.
Do you have an inner dialogue? Meaning that you can hear your own voice speak in your head when you’re thinking. If so, this is another way you can perceive metaphysical energies through clairaudience.
Personally, I do not receive clairaudient psychic information through audible clairaudience. Meaning 99% of clairaudient perceptions I receive are not things I hear with my ears. I mostly receive clairaudient information through simple words or phrases which I hear in my own inner dialogue.
Now, clairaudience can be perceived not in your own voice too. Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? It’s not being heard in your own voice, but almost as if a record is playing in your mind. You can hear the instruments or vocalists as they are. This is another way clairaudience can be perceived. Some people do perceive clairaudience by hearing the voice of someone or sound of something as if they can hear it like a song in their mind.
For example as a professional psychic medium who classifies herself as a mental medium, I will perceive clairaudient information as hearing laughter like a memory but I mostly do not hear voices not in my own inner voice. If a soul wants to convey to me what their voice sounded like I will clairsentiently (psychic sensations or emotions) feel in my chest that they had a deep voice in life or feel on my lips that they moved their mouth in a certain way to pronounce words, signifying to me that they had an accent different than my own or spoke a different language.
How Do You Think?
I believe everyone has psychic abilities. However to what extent is going to be unique and individualistic to you. So if you want to begin to understand which psychic abilities you have and how you may perceive them, you must first do a little bit of introspection and think about how you use your 5 physical senses to make out the world around you.
If you are someone who is not very sensitive to auditory stimuli physically, clairaudience may not be a strong psychic sense for you. And that’s okay! There are 5 others.
If you are a more literal person though for example, or you do not have an inner monologue (some people do not and that’s okay!) then you may perceive clairaudient perceptions as if you are hearing someone talking to you with your ears. Almost physically but there is no physical source you can identify the sound coming from.
For example on a few paranormal investigations I have heard things audibly with my own ears. Including audible whispers near my head and faint words or sentences across a room. But that is very rare for me. If you are looking for a different source on clairaudience I would recommend looking up a renowned psychic medium Doris Stokes. She is an expert and professional on clairaudience.
Speculating Plausibility
Now I do believe that souls, weather you’re on a paranormal investigation or trying to learn about and embrace your psychic gifts, are simply another form of energy which modern science has yet to understand. With that being said, how do our ears work when they perceive sounds in the first place? To simplify it, physical objects create sound waves which bounce off your ear drums and your brain interprets that physical stimuli as sound. When it comes to psychic senses a similar approach applies. Yes, some paranormal energies may be able to make an audible sound which others can perceive with their ears or other devices, but when it comes to less physical stimuli, I believe the brain is stimulated nonetheless in order to perceive clairaudient responses. The energy of the soul is just received in a different way by the brain which then produces the related psychic sense.
Mental Health Awareness
If you experience clairaudience in any of these forms it is important to remember to take what you perceive with a grain of salt. Psychic perceptions in my professional opinion should never impact your daily life or ability to function or discern what is reality from what could be metaphysicality. If you feel that you have perceived something through clairaudience or any of the other of the 5 psychic senses, that is okay. Try not to dwell on it, or mull over too much on its meaning or purpose. If you are meant to know more, you will. Take what you perceive and move on. Hindsight is 20/20 when it comes to psychic information and it’s best not to fixate.
